Terms of Use — Koshur Keyboard

By downloading or using Koshur Keyboard ("the App"), you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
1. Licence
Yimberzol Foundation grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on any Apple-branded device that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service.
You may use the App for any purpose, personal or commercial — including professional writing, publishing, journalism, education, and business use — at no cost and with no additional permission required. Text you write with the App is entirely your own.
2. What the App does
Koshur Keyboard provides Kashmiri (Koshur) keyboard layouts in Perso-Arabic and Latin script for iOS. To use it you must enable it in Settings → General → Keyboard → Keyboards, as iOS requires for every third-party keyboard.
The App does not request Full Access and operates entirely on your device. See the Privacy Policy.
3. Your content
Anything you type belongs to you. Yimberzol Foundation claims no rights over it, and has no ability to see it — the App transmits nothing.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App, except where such restriction is prohibited by applicable law or permitted by the App's open-source licence
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Remove or obscure any proprietary notices
5. No warranty
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. Yimberzol Foundation does not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every character, layout, or diacritic will render correctly in every third-party application, since that depends on the fonts and text handling of that application.
6. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, YIMBERZOL FOUNDATION SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP.
7. Price and availability
The App is provided free of charge. There are no in-app purchases or subscriptions. Yimberzol Foundation may modify, suspend, or discontinue the App at any time.
8. Third-party components
The App is built on GiellaKBD-iOS by the Divvun group at UiT The Arctic University of Norway, used under its open-source licence.
The keyboard layouts follow the Koashur Khat standardisation of written Kashmiri, maintained by the Yimberzol Foundation.
9. Apple
These terms are between you and Yimberzol Foundation, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content, and has no obligation to provide support or maintenance for it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
11. Changes
These terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the App after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
